Our journey begins in Walsh Bay, where we are greeted by the mesmerising Monad light show. This radiant display, inspired by the circular shape symbolising eternal life and harmony, invites us to pause and contemplate our place within the grand tapestry of existence.

Continuing our stroll towards Circular Quay, we encounter the wondrous Dandelion which is a magnificent steel recreation of the delicate flower’s wispy calyx. Beholding its continual and dazzling dance, we are transported into a world of whimsical beauty.

Across the way, we discover the awe-inspiring Sonder show, named after the profound realisation that every stranger we encounter possesses a complex and vibrant inner world. Sonder celebrates the kaleidoscope of colourful lives within us all and the transformative power of their interconnections.

As we make our way towards the iconic Sydney Opera House, the city’s skyline becomes a symphony of vivid lights, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House radiantly illuminated. The sight is a breathtaking testament to the magic of Vivid Sydney.

Ascending to Cahill Expressway above Circular Quay, we are rewarded with a panoramic view of the harbour which is the photographer’s paradise and a vantage point like no other.

Our senses are further dazzled as we witness a captivating light show projected onto the façade of Customs House. This stunning display showcases an enchanting fusion of florals, birdlife, and bold colours, commemorating three decades of Australian design and aesthetics. Meanwhile, the impressive projection onto the Museum of Contemporary Art’s façade pays homage to Indigenous practices and fosters communal introspection at the heart of Vivid Sydney.

Concluding our adventure, we embark on an exhilarating ferry ride from Luna Park to Circular Quay. From the deck, we are treated to a close-up view of the resplendent Harbour Bridge and the majestic Opera House, their illuminated forms casting a spellbinding spectacle.
